Today- Friday - Dec 08

Well I have been trying to blog for about a month and either the post gets messed up and I give up or I don't have time, or the little monster boy I have at home demands my time and complete face... He holds my face looking at whatever he wants me too. So, today I handed him a spoonful of Peanut butter so I am good for a quick up date.
October, I flew to California to attend my Grama's funeral, she was 93 and did everything still, driving too, she was worried who to vote for so it was a blessing that she went so quickly and without having to vote... (A little funny she would be laughing I promise)
November- We had a wonderful Quarterly Enrichment which turned out just the way I have wanted and hopefully the way the Lord wanted. Our theme was D&C 88:118-119 House of God. Great speakers and food and visiting. I love Relief Society and the friendship that can be felt by anyone if you make an effort.
Also we had a birthday for Becki- we had a mother/daughter retreat and had a blast with 2 friends and their moms, we ate and visited did nails, played games, ate junk and had a great time
Then for Turkey day- Thanksgiving we all had the stomach flu and ate chicken noodle soup, saltines and 7-up for our festive meal. A week later I made the whole thing for Sunday dinner I love leftovers and love turkey sandwiches.
We have had the wide spectrum of weather and have enjoyed all of it- Today it was 7 degrees can you believe it - 7- wowwee it's cold and we finally have snow yeah feels like Christmas too, last week we have 69 degrees and beautiful, all the leafs changed colors and fell in November and now we have twig trees no leafs.
David has a job now at Walmart so we have a small income we are truly grateful for a job right now many are looking and not finding any work and more are being laid off. Times can be scary
Mikal has rolled from one sport to another - Basketball season has started and seems to be happy about it.
Becki loves horseback riding, we'll see if she still likes it in the snow!?!?
Sam is doing well in school and playing in the snow.
December we are just trying to get by and enjoy the holidays, decorations are going up today and presents are purchased, we are all hoping that David will have Christmas Eve off.
We are grateful for our health(now)
We pray for our family, church, friends and country that all may have or try and have a wonderful holiday season. So if the photos don't come atleast I have blogged for the day. I hope to put some of the photos from the above journaling in the future but who knows.
Merry Christmas and Enjoy your families during the holiday season...always
If you have read this do a good deed today!

Halloween Costumes '08

These are our pumpkins for the year

Steven wore the Clown suit I made for Mikal...
how many years ago??? The boys have
all worn it. Yeah!

Sam went as a football player, When he went
Trick or treating Mikal let him use his current
jersy so people kept asking if Sam was missing
the game to get candy.

Becki decide she wanted to the 50's
so I made a skirt and we had a few items
from Great Grama Cazier, She looked really
cute and wore her red glasses which made her
look like a teacher from the 50's
We had a fun and very busy Halloween

Multi-tasking...

When I came home from my Grandmother's funeral
this is what David was doing... If you can see,
David is doing some work while
Steven is watching "CARS" his favorite movie ever.
We love the Mac.

My Grandma

My Grandma Hazel Irene

I have been thinking alot about my grama and wanted to share with you the
things I love about her.
First and for most she is the best! She had my mom, that puts me here.
I have learned many things from her.
I enjoy Photography (now my side profession) she gave me my first camera,
she let us look through her numerous photo albums(geneology) and took pictures
of every thing, scenery, us, and what ever else we visited.
She taught me how to cook -
her philosophy - everything is better with walnuts in it
(that part I don't like because I am allergic)
Seriously we had walnut in jello, green bean casserole and
I think the one time she made me
(I sat at the table for 3 hours looking at the little rubbery tire looking things)
stewed prunes they had walnuts in them too, yummy!!! Not for me.
We use to make candies, cookies and she let me help make dinner etc,
She also taught me how to laugh,
she pulled the best April Fools joke ever!
We still talk about it.
She also helped me learn crocheting and I have made many slippers from a pattern she taught me. She made me a beautiful bed spread cover too.
She also loves music, we use to listen to her play the piano or organ regularly.
I have a severe dislike to Peter and the Wolf tho'
she use to play that and it scared me every time.
She and Grampa would take us to bowl when ever we visited - and man could she bowl.
We use to go on walks/hikes in the hills in California.
She also taught us how to sculpt and make things with clay,
later she bought her own kiln and did her own firing.
She has taught me many times how to play card games,
she was always willing or at least I felt like she was willing.
My favorite was visiting her down at their beach house in Oxnard area (very sad that's gone)
we would walk on the pier and see what the catch of the day was,
play in the sand and have a picnic lunch, then back at the apartment we would swim.
She is still very active and still drives to get groceries ,
the doctor just told her that she could for another 15 years, this woman is 94,
needless to say she wasn't real pleased about that.
Again I was thinking about her and wanted to share how much I have learned and
how much I love her.
I just wanted to share my grama with you.
Hope you have been blessed with a grama as great as she is.
