Birthday BBQ and Cake

Sandstone Park

We had a BBQ at the Park - we played games and
played in the sand, in the water and just had a
great time. After we ate dinner we headed to Matt
and Heather's for presents and dessert

It was a sand castle ice cream cake, it was the best
and Heather went all out for my birthday!

39th Birthday Celebration

I started celebrating first thing

I had a wonderful morning
and really had a great birthday
the day was only beginning
My family made me breakfast
and helped me start my day off right.
I also was able to had a Swedish massage,
I love that, and was really relaxed.

They drove me to a park and kicked me out of the van
and told me to take a walk while they went shopping.

this is what was at the end of my walk. I was able to read
and catch up my journal, while listening to the waterfall
and a chainsaw cutting down trees nearby, hahaha
(David's order didn't go through for peace and quiet)

Then we dropped the kids off and David to me to lunch
we went to Panera's, yummy! I had the Brocolli cheddar
soup, and a Turkey artichoke panini,
I have a new favorite place :0)

Family Night the Scout way

Mikal had to pass somethings off for scouts so he taught
us first aid and the kids all worked together on the holds
and lifts to get each other to safety

We hope that they never have to carry Mikal anywhere he's heavy haha

It was a great family night and all the kids had a great time

Twins are growing

Here Rachel has decided that Jordyn's ear is a perfect handle

Father's day Celebration
TOP POP

Each of the kids chose a "pop" related gift for father's day
Steven gave Pop-It's that snap on the ground

Sam gave Blow "pop"s and Becki gave fudge "pop"s
All wrote cute things that tied them all together
So that David knew he was a TOP POP for the day

Mikal had Pops ceral We had a great time
creating the cards. Father's day was great

We were out at the Peters farm helping out Nancy



we all helped paint the fence it has been a long process,
we are only about 1/3rd done. We love to help her out
and painting has been fun, even steven has helped, sort of...

Steven just wanted to ride on the tractor...I think it is in his blood. hahaha

Rocky Mountain National Park

You can kind of tell how high up we were.
At one point both sides of the road dropped
off to the base of the mountain

The snow was so high it would have cover our van and then some.
The week before the pass was closed because of the snow.

This is the West side of Longs Peak, very beautiful.

Steamboat Springs '08

We went to a ski lodge and this was a ski jump, it was very big

Fish Creek Falls - We went on a quick hike and found these falls, the kids loved it

This is a hot spring pool, there is no heater, we all had a great time
and stayed warm and even enjoyed a rock wall, the kids
tried to climb up and would fall into the deep end very fun place.

large tree down in the front yard

Our tree house... The kids put all of the branches around
and made a house. Watch out Surviver Man or
Man vs. wild they don't have anything on my kids :0)
