St George Museum

While in St. George, on our way back home we stopped
at Museum just off the freeway.
The building was huge and they had a ton of animals,
I can't believe how big bears really are???

Mikal learned better jumping skills, while Steven made sure that the
Polar bear didn't move while were standing by it. We also watched a video
On Alaska, that was really interesting, we picked a few suvies and head back
to the resort. We had a great time on our long and extremely fun trip back to
California. Thanks to all the family and friend that we were able to see and spend
time with, you helped make out trip even better. Love you all

We spent a lot of time at the beach

We love Colorado but there is no
Ocean there, the salty air and the breeze,
the shell hunting and the sound of the waves
and the birds... So we enjoyed as much time
as we could taking in the BEACH

Climbing the Sand hill (Tradition)

The kids love to climb the sand hill that is located on the PCH near Pt Mugo, so while Steven slept in the van I wanted at the bottom of the "hill" while Sam and his cousins climbed.

Part of the way he lended a helping hand and gave Christain and Piggy back ride
Here is Sam, Spencer and Christain all the way to the top, then they proceeded to roll down until they were hot and sandy. It was a great day a the beach

In -N-Out 5 Times

One of the only things that Mikal wanted to do
while in Cailfornia was to eat at IN-N-OUT burgers everyday.

We all knew that wouldn't happen,
we did manage to get there 5 times in the 18 days of traveling.
To those of you who have never had one we are very sad for you
and it is worth taking a trip to California or Nevada to get a
DOUBLE DOUBLE animal style.
Although the burgers are the best (according to the Merrill/Mortensen survey) the Strawberry milkshakes and the fries make the meal a complete and wonderful fast food meal.

We salute the IN-N-OUT burger!
you haven't had a truely great burger, till you have had
a DOUBLE DOUBLE animal style

Playing Grama's Piano

Grama Mortie has photos of all her grandkidos playing the piano so these are some we took while visiting this year. We had a great time and loved spending time with grama and grampa

Maybe Steven will be the one to take piano like his mom.;0)
